By the end of the course, the Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Social Worker or Psychologist will be able to:
-Name three points of confidentiality needed to comply to HIPAA regulations.
-Name three ways in which HIPAA guidelines affect psychiatrists' note taking.
-Name three concepts related to a client’s informed consent.
-Identify three confidentiality guidelines for minor clients.
-Explain when is it appropriate to disclose confidential information without the consent of the individual.
-Explain how did HIPAA extend the requirement of privacy protection to entities that it was not authorized to regulate.

-Explain what should Mental Health Professionals be especially familiar with.
